Dustin was a well-built athlete, an average student, and, you guessed it, a full-time jock. Loved by cheerleaders, admired by team mates and friends, hated by nerds, he not only is the star linebacker for his High School football team, but he is also the average trouble maker you'd see everyday at school. Instead of doing his homework, he is rather laid back and easy-going, and rather wants to focus on his job in construction.
Almost every day in the afternoon after school, he pranks a weaker and smaller guy at school, just for the heck of it and blowing off some steam. He gets caught often, but not always. The coach always gets him out of trouble, because he obviously only wants the best for him and wants him to get that scholarship, but not without good marks that actually qualify him.

But there's one girl Dustin can't really deal with, and her name is Jackie.  Jackie is a rather suspicious girl, who is a lot into witchcraft and spells. She does a lot of palm-reading for her friends and other students at lunch hour, and finds positive news almost everything, just to cheer the people up from Dustin's beating. She hates Dustin the most from the football team, because he is being such a jerk, and she wishes to get revenge on him.

One time at lunch hour, Jackie was doing her usual thing, eating lunch with her normal, nerdy and gothic friends, and handing out a few more fortunes to students. Then the unbelievable happens. Dustin shows up and sits down by her. "Hey freak, why don't you read my palm, since you're already doing that?" Dustin spits Jackie in her face, his friends around him, watching. Jackie frowns, obviously a bit offended by his comments and he opens his palm, and starts to run a finger along the lines. Dustin chuckles and says: "You got a crush on me or something?" he laughs, but Jackie doesn't answer until she finally catches a deep breath and has this to say to him. "Oh wow, the signs are great for you." She says in a determined voice, yet it's tricky, but Dustin is too dumb to realize that and has a happy face on him. "Destiny awaits you...tonight!" Jackie shows a surprised face on her. "Under the full moon" Dustin is impressed and so are his friends. Dustin is completely surprised, and Jackie tells him. "Go outside in the full moon tonight. It'll come to you." And Dustin jumps up. "Oh man, that's great! Thanks!" and he wanders off with his friends, showing a poor Chinese guy into the garbage bin before leaving the lunch room.
Yvonne, one of Jackie's friends, has listened to all of this and she turns to her. "Are you for real, that this jackass receives his destiny tonight???" she asked very confused. Jackie wipes off her fake face and whispers. "Oh, don't worry. You are right about the last part." And she chuckles, but Yvonne stares at her confused before biting into her sandwich again.

And so the day winded down with no surprises happening. After dinner at around 10 PM, Dustin called up a few of his friends, Lloyd and Matt, and gathered at Dustin's house. All three of them had a few snacks before heading outside under the fairly clouded sky, but the full moon was there...somewhere. The three just stood there, in their football jackets, waiting for the full moon to finally show up. Dustin didn't seem to get bored at all, just being excited for his destiny, but the other two tossed a football to each other, getting a little bored. "Dude, it's cloudy. How the hell is the moon supposed to show up?" Matt asks. Dustin just shakes it off "You obviously can't wait. Well, I guess you got that from all the tough games we had this season." Lloyd just gives a grin.

20 minutes later, the moon still hasn't shown up yet, and Lloyd doesn't seem to take it any longer, until the edges of the moon finally show up. Dustin stands on the lawn, looking at the moon, full of excitement, and his two buddies just sit on the deck, relieved that their boredom is over. The full moon appeared from the clouds and its brightness shined on Dustin.

Dustin felt great as soon as the moonlight hit his face, already feeling his destiny is coming and he closes his eyes. A warm tingly feeling came over him and that throughout his body. Lloyd and Matt watched from the sides, curious about what's awaiting him. Seeing nothing changing, Lloyd then asks "Uhm, what it is?" but Dustin can't give any answer. He is overwhelmed with this amazing feeling, and he goes deep down to find the answer himself. Then all of a sudden, Matt sees something strange. His right hand seems to fuse together and form a hoof. "Uhm, Dustin?" "What?" Dustin opened his eyes, in a rather gibberish voice, showing bigger flatter front teeth in his mouth, and Matt points to his hand. Dustin looks at it and jumps. "Holy hell, what's happening???" he jumps and can't even feel his hand anymore. Brown fur has started to grow around his hoof and it's crawling up his arms at a fast pace. Dustin's mouth gets filled with more big teeth, as his head starts to slowly crack. His fur rapidly crawls all over his body, making him take off his jacket and shirt, due to the overwhelming heat. "ugh......no..." Dustin desperately tried to say, as his spine pops out to make him grow more to equine proportions.

Lloyd and Matt just stare, scared as hell, as their top linebacker has grown fur all over the place. "Damn, that's screwed!" he shouts as he watches Dustin's shoes explode to reveal hooves in digitigrade's posing. Dustin is really panicking now, and tries to walk, but he trips and lands on all fours, leaving him there, as suddenly his shoulder blades are sent back and his chest expands outward to make him look like an almost complete equine. "Holy crap, ears???" Lloyd shouts out in shock, as Dustin all of a sudden grows long ears and his neck expands outward. Then his face pushes outwards to form a muzzle. "Lloyd! Maatt! Heeeeeeeelp meeeaaawwww! Heehaaaaaw!"  Dustin stands there, finishing growing his tail, now standing there, a full donkey. Lloyd and Matt just stand there utterly shocked. "Matt, let's got outta here!" Lloyd shouted to Matt and they both went for it out of the backyard, leaving Dustin hawing for help.

Dustin just looks around, his parents away for another few days, very shocked to question himself if this is his destiny. "Well, hello there!" a familiar voice comes out of the bushes, and Jackie appears out of them, coming to him. Dustin's fury started to make him burn and he dodges towards Jackie, but stops after a few meters, as he finds himself tied to the house. "You...you witch!!" he shouts, but they only come out as desperate donkey brays. Jackie giggled and ruffed his hair. "I told you a thousand times, but you never took it seriously. You are indeed a jackass. Now both inside and out!" Dustin couldn't believe it, and he snorted at her, angry at her and he hawed "Why did you do this to me???" and Jackie could understand him and she had a sure answer for that. "This is for bullying me and all the other students for all these years you have been at my school. I don't stand for your actions anymore. It was time for you to accept your punishment!" and she tightens the rope around his muzzle, making him twitch a bit. "Now can you be a good ass? Then I'll turn you back...eventually." and with a loud poof, she vanished, laughing evilly.

Dustin drops his ears, angry at this situation, just not happy and with a few loud thumping noises, he climbs onto the deck, sitting in a corner, thinking about what could turn him back, but it will take a lot more than just saying sorry.

A few days later, Dustin still was being a grumpy donkey, just sitting on the balcony, not even thinking about changing. That evening, his parents pulled into the driveway, back from their camping trip. They left the house to Dustin, obviously expecting a trashed place, since Dustin is know for throwing parties, but this time, no object on their yard moved an inch. Dad opened the door, surprised that the house looked like when they left.

Dustin's ears perked and listened, knowing that it was them. "Mom, Dad! Welcome back!" he tried to shout, but he forgot that only brays come out of his mouth ever since he changed. As dad came out of the car, he heard the brays, and stopped to listen. "Honey, did I just hear something? I think it's very close to our house." He said sceptical, yet curious.  Mom got out of the car as well, and heard it too. "I think I heard it too, but maybe we're just pretending. Come on, let's grab the bags and unpack." And so they went to the trunk of their '06 Ford Escape, and grabbed the bags. When they went inside, they went up to the room, but dad stopped as he saw Dustin's tail swaying around. "Honey, I wasn't kidding. There's a donkey on our balcony!" He couldn't believe his eyes. "Dustin! Come down! I need to have a word with you!" He shouted upstairs, wanting to have a word with his son, why he brought a donkey on their yard.

That very moment, Dustin heard the voice of his father and looked inside. "Dad, I'm right here!" he brayed, but he didn't know if his dad would hear the words he wanted him to hear. Instead, dad looked at the donkey he saw "Oh shut up, you stupid animal. You should be on a farm, and not be on our lawn, braying all day!" he shouted back, and went upstairs to look. "How dare you say that to me!"  Dustin brayed and kicked the door open. His bully side took over, as he stormed in, braying madly at his father. Dad turned around, but before he could do anything defensively, Dustin rammed his head into his chest, making his dad fly a few meters back.

Dustin stood there in udder shock as he started to realize what he had done. He looked at his dad, who was laying on the ground, groaning in pain. "Martina!!! Help!" he yelled out and soon enough, mom shot through and jumped in shock. "Oh my God, Herald! What happened??" she yelled as she investigated his injuries. The donkey broke 4 of the man's ribs.
By the time both of them could get at the stubborn animal, Dustin ran. He ran through the neighbourhood, over streets, and out of town, his hooves clopping loudly on the concrete. Thank God no police were passing by when he ran. A donkey storming through the city is an extremely rare thing to witness.

About two hours later, well in the outskirts of the city, Dustin was panting and totally exhausted. Football players don't have the duration of a soccer player, and Dustin certainly knew that. He collapsed to the ground, his eyes watering. "Oh my god, what have I done? I am so embarrassed right now." He thought to himself before his feelings flooded over him and buried his long muzzle in the dirt, crying all he can, and was saddened more, as he heard himself braying and braying, like the animal he now felt like on the inside and outside.
When the sun dawn came along, Dustin finally started to realize how bad of a person he was in the past. He saw a flashback in his mind, when he bullied for the first time, when he got in trouble at school and at home, making him more and more aggressive and cold-hearted, and his fate that happened four days ago. Finally, he wiped his tears off with his arms and got up, seeing Jackie in front of him out of nowhere. He jumped, braying, being scared by her.

"Jackie. You scared me!" he says to her. Jackie giggled madly. "I thought my chances were low, since you aren't scared of anything, but I was surprised it worked!" Walking around Dustin, admiring his rather muscular shape for a donkey, the tail, the hooves and the muzzle, she looked back at him. "I must say, this form makes you look like a better football player." Dustin chuckled. "Thanks. Being like this is not the same as being human." He says calmly, sounding nothing like a bully. Jackie smiled. "Ya know, you've changed from the last time I saw you." And saw Dustin nodding his big head. "Yeah, I came to realize that my attitude has been anything but good. When I bullied, I felt like a big guy, a real macho, and being on the football team was a big bonus. But that is all meaningless now. I hate myself for that. I lost my family's respect, and my football team mates are my only friends. I really needed those days of self-reflection. Thanks for making me who I really am."

Dustin sighed and continued "But you probably won't change me back. I mean, I hurt you too, more than any other girl in school. And you're a witch. You can do whatever you want with the powers you have. Go ahead, if you want, make me a complete donkey. Make me eat grass on a farm all day. It's probably what I deserve for the rest of my life. " He lowered his head, and dropped his ears, thinking that he might not turn back.

Jackie kneed to him, and Dustin looked at her with tearing eyes. "I'm sorry. I truly am a jackass." He brayed. But Jackie smiled at him and kissed him on his nose. He perked his ears, surprised, blushing madly under his fur. Jackie scratched behind his ears, knowing that he would enjoy it. What Dustin didn't realize is that when Jackie started scratching him, his legs cracked and lengthened, becoming more humanoid. His torso began to shrink inward, his muscular looks returning. Jackie scratched his mane more and more, watching Dustin's arms lengthening also, his front hooves splitting, morphing back into useful hands, and his neck and head slightly shrinking to proportions, now leaving Dustin as an anthropomorphic donkey.

When Dustin came back to his thoughts, he shook his head as Jackie grabbed his tail to play with it. "Hey, that's my ta-..." as Dustin shouted that, he thought he brayed again, but instead heard his own voice. Full of happiness, he twinkled his fingers, swished his tail, and finally got to feel the ears and the big muzzle. He chuckled "Well, to be honest, being a donkey can be a bit more interesting than being a human being." Jackie smiled. "Plus you got a tail, and hooves, which means no more shoe shopping." "Hell yeah! I think I like myself that way." He shouted happily as he flexes his muscles, but looked down seeing himself naked. "Holy gee..." and covers his privates. Jackie laughs, taking it easy. "Oh Dustin, you're funny, but don't worry." and which a finger snap, Dustin found himself wearing his normal clothes.

As Jackie said goodbye to head home, Dustin waved to her, and when she was gone, he stretched. "Now, I have to say sorry to my family." And first headed to a gift store where the clerk was startled to serve an animal that could walk and talk. Then he headed straight to the hospital to meet his mom and dad. When he arrived, his mom and dad just were surprised about how he looked, but Dustin came right to the point of his appearance, and explained what he had realized and wanted to make everything better, making all three happy as they went home, especially his dad who was happy about what his son got for him.

The next day Dustin threw away his football jacket, and just wore his regular clothes to school. He got pointed at for looking like a donkey, but he was full in control of himself, and explained to his friends, that he has finally quit bullying because it's wrong, and most of them just shook their heads and left. He was okay with that, since they were only friends for the parties and the fun that he did for them. Relieved, he saw Jackie at lunch again, and decided to sit down with her, and just felt like talking and spending time with her. From that day on, the witch and the donkey became friends.

The End
This is one of my more recent TF stories I wrote, but as an extended version. :3 I'm not too happy with it, but I hope you like it.

It's about a stubborn football player, who's bullies a lot, and comes to realize his true self one full moon night.

Enjoy!
